January 2024 Housing Market Update
We’re one month into 2024 and we’re slowly starting to see more activity in the housing market. We can talk about stats all day but in real estate, consumer sentiment is also an important driving factor. I’ll say that there are a lot of buyers that have a much better attitude right now when it comes to purchasing in the current climate. It seems they have come to terms with interest rates and sticky home prices. Pair that with the potential of lowering rates in the near future and we might be in for a busy spring. That being said, supply continues to be an issue. Oddly enough we’re seeing multiple offers on properties which indicates we are still in a sellers market. Spring usually brings more inventory on the market and I believe there are a large group of buyers waiting to pounce on new listings as they come available.
